What dispute software is

A short guide for consultants and firms who want to understand what this type of tool does before choosing one.

The idea in one sentence

Dispute software is a tool that organizes the work of reviewing a credit report, preparing the dispute letters, sending them, and tracking the responses, so the consultant does not have to do everything by hand.

What it does

  • Imports and reads reports to identify the accounts worth reviewing.
  • Drafts the letters of dispute; in Financore Platform the AI writes a different letter per account.
  • Manages the rounds: tracks dates and windows, for example one round every 40 days.
  • Sends the letters by postal mail, in our case by USPS First-Class Mail with the consultant's approval.
  • Keeps the client file of each client: letters, dates, and responses in one place.
  • Supports the work: CRM with WhatsApp, online signing, and payments for the firm.

What it does not do

Software does not decide for you or guarantee a result. It cannot promise to raise points or delete accounts: what happens depends on the content of the report and the response of bureaus and creditors. The consultant is still the one who reviews and approves.

The legal framework

In the United States, the federal FCRA law regulates how information in a report is handled and disputed, and the CROA law regulates organizations that offer credit services to consumers. If you work with clients, it is worth knowing both. This page is informational and is not legal advice; consult an attorney for your case.

What to look at when choosing one

  • How many bureaus and creditors each round covers.
  • Whether it drafts the letters with AI or whether they have to be written one by one.
  • Whether postal mailing is inside the workflow.
  • Whether it includes CRM, signing, and payments, or whether you will have to add other tools.
  • Whether it offers support and a dashboard in Spanish, with 24/7 support.
  • How it is billed and what each plan includes.
